The midlands is set to see a host of sustainability events this week.

Saving money and shrinking your carbon footprint is what Sustainable Energy Week is all about according to the Green Party.

Tomorrow will see talks by the SEAI, Wind Energy Ireland, Teagasc and more at the Irish Manufacturing Research building in Mullingar.

In Portlaoise on Friday, businesses and people are invited to the Killeshin Hotel to learn more about sustainability.

While there'll be an Eco showboat in Vicarstown on Saturday.
