Mullingar Hospital "Extremely Busy" For A Second Day

The number of people waiting on trolleys is at the highest level since January 2020.

Mullingar Regional Hospital is extremely busy again today.

24 people currently waiting on trolleys - the highest figure since January 2020.

Management is warning a number of non-covid patients are presenting with a series of complex illnesses and there are delays in the Emergency Department.

You're asked to consider alternative care options if possible, including consulting your GP or pharmacist.

However, anyone seriously injured or ill will be treated as a priority.
