Increased focus on supporting tourism SMEs and setting ambitious targets and KPIs are some of the new proposals in the new National Tourism Policy.
The new tourism policy underlines a commitment to expanding food based tourism, marking the first time that the sector’s culinary offerings are being given major emphasis.
The Policy Statement sets out 71 proposed measures, with Fáilte Ireland and other tourism bodies being assigned targets for job creation and visitor expenditure.
