New Central Hospice Aims To Improve Lives Of Cancer Patient's In Midlands

A decision on planning development for the Midlands Hospice is due next month.

The arrival of a new central hospice in the midlands will help people with cancer live better and longer.

That's according to Dr Pauline Kane, Palliative Care Consultant for the Midlands.

She believes a day therapy unit, which is included in plans for the Midlands Hospice, will make a dramatic difference to the quality of life for palliative patients in region.

The HSE recently submitted further information for the proposed planning development on the Arden Rd site to Offaly County Council.

A decision on the project is now due on October 10th.
