An Offaly filmmaker has been nominated for an IFTA.
Birr's Nicky Larkin received the recognition for his short film 'Punt', which is one of six nominees in the short film category at the 23rd edition of the Awards, taking place on February 20th in Dublin.
Punt was screened locally at Offaly’s OFFline Film Festival last year and was written and directed by Mr Larkin and produced by Alanna Riddell Bond.
The dark comedy follows a heartbroken woman whose plans are disrupted when a power cut sparks an unlikely World Cup bet.
