Management at the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore is asking patients with non-emergency conditions to consider other health service options including their local Pharmacist, GP, GP out of hours service, or a local injury unit.
The HSE is warning patients who are presenting at its emergency department with non-urgent conditions will experience very long waiting times.
