Today marks the official launch of the Midlands Palliative Care Alliance.
The collaboration between the five independent hospice groups across Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and Longford marks a milestone in enhancing palliative care services throughout the Midlands.
The launch, which coincides with Palliative Care Week aims to encourage conversations about what palliative care truly involves, highlight the benefits it offers to patients, their families and carers, and challenge common misconceptions.
The launch begins at 3pm in the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore.
