Certain areas of the county were selected to take part in the pilot.
Households across Offaly are being reminded to take part in the Census Pilot Survey taking place this weekend.
Offaly has been chosen as one of the six counties to take part this Sunday, which will see people fill out a census form online for this first time.
Of forms returned so far, CSO figures show a 50/50 split between using a phone and laptops or desktops, while some people have opted for the usual paper forms.
It's a voluntary survey, to test new questions and new ways of filling out the form to help prepare for Census 2027.
Six locations within Offaly have been selected across Ferbane, Kilcormac and Tullamore.
Households selected have been sent a letter of invitation. Even if you have not received a letter, you can take part here.
