Charleville National School in Tullamore is in need for an ASD unit for its senior units.

An Offaly school is calling for another ASD unit for its students.

Education Minister Helen McEntee opened two new modular classrooms on Friday at Charleville National School in Tullamore.

One of those classrooms will be a junior autism unit, with the school hoping to build one for senior students in the future.

Chairperson of the Board of Management at the school Reverend Canon Isaac Delamere says the school has been in need for some time:
