John Clendennen's flyers were spotted with the county facing backwards.
An Offaly TD says he plans on "turning Offaly around" after delivering flyers into homes with the county printed backwards.
John Clendennen insists the flyers weren't printed in error, and that he is instead falling back on his studies in Marketing.
The Fine Gael rep believes his move has caught the attention and imagination of the public.
Mr Clendennen was elected to Dail Eireann for the first time in the general election last November, securing the third and final seat after a protracted contest with Sinn Fein's Aoife Masterson.
