A decision is due in November.
Plans have been submitted for a massive new housing development in the midlands.
Marina Quarter Limited is seeking permission for the construction of 195 homes on the Dublin Road in Ballyroan.
While a breakdown of the units isn't provided, the development would include the demolition and site clearance of a disused farm, and four existing buildings in the area.
It would also feature the provision of a new créche, and two ESB kiosks.
A decision from Laois County Council is due by the 2nd of November.
