The drive is taking place in Athlone on Sunday morning.
A Samaritans branch in a Westmeath town is holding a recruitment drive for volunteers this weekend.
The information meeting will take place at their Athlone branch in Court Devenish at 11am this Sunday, September 14th.
People can sign up to be volunteer for the scheme, and after interview can join a eight week training programme in early October.
