Midlands TD says families are now paying out more to find ways to school.
The Tánaiste says school transport fees may be re-introduced next year, as oversubscribing has become an issue.
Fees were waived in an effort to save families 650 euro this year, but now thousands are going without a place on the bus.
A meeting is being held in Laois this evening as five pupils in Emo, Vicarstown and The Rock were not allocated seats.
