Working from home could have a positive impact on the local economy.

If some of the 11 thousand commuters from a midlands town were to work remotely, it could provide a substantial boost to the local economy.

Joanne Mangan is the Remote Transformation Manager with Grow Remote, which is hosting the second of a two day summit in Portlaoise

The event will see more than 25 speakers, exhibitions, panels and Q and A sessions.

She says the Laois town is well set to benefit from an informed move to remote working:
