A Midlands North West MEP is raising concerns with misinformation on the platform.

Vulnerable users and the spread of misinformation during election season are some of the biggest concerns being raised with TikTok.

Midlands North West MEP Maria Walsh met with the social media platform this week, where its regulations were high on the agenda.

She requested age verification for all users on TikTok be introduced with 'urgency.'

The Fine Gael rep says despite the positive meeting, it's clear there's a long way to go:
