The car had been reported stolen in Dublin last December.
Two men have been arrested in connection with a car fire in Co Carlow last night.
The vehicle was found alight outside a house in the Ballinabrannagh area and the blaze was extinguished.
Later that night, a car travelling on the Naas Road towards Dublin was stopped and two men in their 20s arrested.
The car had been reported stolen in the Castleknock area of Dublin in December.
