A competitive €10m fund is being announced to potentially fund two projects in the Midlands under a government bioeconomy scheme.
The 'Bioeconomy Demonstration Initiative’ is under the EU Just Transition fund and will support pilot and demonstration projects with a cost of up to €5m each.
The call is open across the region to Laois, Offaly and Westmeath with proposals being sought to support the sector while remaining globally competitive.
The funding application deadline closes Friday August 8th.
