Pavel Mikeska of Thyme Restaurant in Athlone and Anastasiia Skurtu from Wineport Lodge in Glasson have won first place in the 2nd Joe Shannon Memorial Culinary Competition.
The chefs were judged by celebrity cook, Neven Maguire
The competition focuses on modern sustainable cuisine with a particular priority put on irish produce.
The now annual event honours Joe Shannon's career in cooking - The Ireland AM and Radisson Blu chef passed away after a cancer diagnosis in 2024.
