A midlands councillor is calling for an immediate review.
There is "uproar" about increases in the cost of renting a council house in the midlands.
That's according to Offaly Independent Councillor Sean O Brien, who also says tenants of Offaly County Council have been notified of rent hikes in the past few days.
He says one person's rent was increased by 113%.
