There has been an increase in insurance claims.
Insurers are warning of clothes spontaneously going on fire hours after being taken out of tumble dryers.
Aviva says it's recording an increase in claims related to fires from dryers, and is urging homeowners to only turn them on when someone is in the house.
It says clothes can ignite if they're not cooled down properly after the tumble dryer, and users should make sure the build-up of lint is removed regularly.
