It's in light of the new restrictions, announced today.
New Level 5 Covid restrictions with some exceptions will come into force across the country from Christmas Eve.
In Westmeath, Council public offices in Áras an Chontae, Mullingar, Athlone Civic Centre, and Castlepollard Civic Offices and all outdoor playgrounds, play areas, and parks will remain open and operating as normal.
In line with the move to Level 5, the following arrangements are in place for Council facilities:
- “Belvedere House Gardens & Park” will remain open but the Café will revert to take away service only. (The House remains closed for renovations)
- Mullingar Swimming Pool will remain open for individual use only and with protective measures in place.
- Athlone Castle is closed until further notice.
- Luan Gallery is closed until further notice.
- Athlone Regional Sports Centre will remain open for individual use only and with protective measures in place.
- All Libraries will be closed for public access and be available for online services only.
