The vehicle was also found to be without tax
Gardaí in Westmeath have seized a dangerously modified car that tried to turn away from a checkpoint.
The vehicle, spotted in Mullingar last night, was found to be too low to the ground, had dangerously stretched out tyres and windows that were tinted too dark.
The car had also not been taxed for the last 1,000 days.
Court proceedings against the driver are set to follow.
