David Digan had his arm amputated following a motorcycle accident.
A Westmeath man says he's very grateful to everyone who's helped him fundraise over €1,800 for an operation that could fundamentally change the way he lives.
David Digan has undergone multiple operations since a motorcycle accident six years ago - which eventually led to an arm amputation.
He's now been selected for a world first trial in Vienna next year where doctors will secure a prosthetic to his forearm through a bone anchor - which will be connected to the remaining nerves in his forearm and shoulder.
