A playschool in Westmeath is shutting its doors for the final time.
Little Friends Playschool in Castlepollard, run by Anthony and Caroline Finegan is not reopening in September as they have not found a new owner.
In a statement posted on social media, they also say 'a combination of changes' within the childcare sector led to the decision such as 'an inability to acquire staff and' increasing financial pressure.'
They have notified all staff and families affected by the closure in handwriting and are thanking them for their understanding.
