The 125 home plans are being appealed by residents in Kinnegad.
An appeal is being lodged with An Coimisiún Pleanála over a large scale residential development for Westmeath.
Lynx Developments LTD secured planning permission in September to build 125 residential units and a childcare facility on the Killucan Road in Kinnegad.
Over 20 objections have been made to Westmeath County Council by residents of the area, with most citing disruption to nearby housing estate Manorfield .
A lack of community consultation, traffic and safety concerns, impact on child safety and environmental stress are also concerns listed in the submissions.
A decision on the appeal is due next year on February 19th.
