Two Westmeath students are aiming to develop an app to stop mould growth in homes across Ireland.
Third years at Our Lady's Bower Aideen Derwin and Blathin Moran are taking part in this year's BT Young Scientist Bootcamp in UCD.
The event focuses on teaching students about business development in order to develop a pitch for their project.
Other Westmeath students taking part are St Finian's College fourth years Donagh Carey and Noah Hill, and four students from Athlone Community College -Sarah Higgins, Ayvin Lijo, Eoin Gately and Toomas Donohoe.
Aideen and Blahín were part of the team which won first place in the Intermediate Technology Catagory this year -and say hearing from Young Scientist alumni has been the most interesting part so far:
