A GoFundMe page was set up on March 5th to raise funds so one-year-old Dan Donoher can undergo treatment in the US.
He was diagnosed with last December with Spinal Muscular Atrophy - which has a life expectancy of 18-24 months.
Almost 80,000 people have donated to the campaign with over €1.7m raised.
His parents Aisling and Niall are thanking everyone for their support.
