They're being reclassified as 'essential' construction developments.
The Construction Industry Federation expects work to resume soon on around 30 social housing projects that are near completion.
It's expected they will be deemed essential in order to facilitate work to start again on site.
Work has already recommenced on the counstruction of 21 units in Arcadia, Athlone and a further 24 units in The Orchard in Blyry, Athlone.
