The Westmeath County Council says it's a unique opportunity for urban and rural parts of the county.
Work is continuing on regeneration projects in three Westmeath towns.
Consultants have been appointed for a major, long-term regeneration of the Blackhall and Canal Avenue areas of Mullingar, with a public consultation to be launched later this summer.
In Kinnegad, a library and community centre are being developed through rural regeneration funding, along with a town park.
While in Castlepollard, planners will soon be putting together designs to transform the Market House, public realm and a town park.
