Head Coach of Athlone Boxing Club Rory Parkes believes the club's move to a new boxing facility can introduce new opportunities for people.
The Westmeath club held their training sessions in the basement of St Peter and Paul's Church for years but will now be moving to the Regional Sports Centre.
The boxing club received boxing permission yesterday for the move to the Ballymahon Road Sports Complex.
Parkes is hopeful that the move can help grow the future of the sport in their community.
