D-Day Comes For Westmeath In Division Three

The Lake County will secure promotion if they avoid defeat on Sunday.

Promotion is on the cards for Westmeath this weekend if they can avoid defeat in Sligo.

Dessie Dolan's side are unbeaten after an impressive campaign that has seen them go game for game and blow for blow with Down at the top of the standings.

Clare are the one team that can usurp either county, and the Bannermen are in Newry on Sunday to take on Westmeath's Division Three promotion rivals.

Sligo were narrow winners over Offaly last time out and are neither threatened by relegation nor are they chasing promotion.

Midlands 103 Analyst Gerry Buckley says Westmeath can't take their opposition for granted.
