A struggling Sligo Rovers are set to host the midlanders on Saturday evening.
Some very familiar faces are preparing to welcome Athlone to the Showgrounds in Sligo in the Women's Premier Division this weekend.
Former Town manager Tommy Hewitt and midfield lynchpin Muireann Devaney are now plying their trade with the Bit O' Red.
Athlone head to the West in flying form, having won six and drawn two of their last eight games in all competitions.
Hewitt's side have struggled through the season so far with just three draws from their opening six league games.
The midlanders were 2-1 winners when the sides met in All Island Cup action last month.
Hewitt says Devaney has been a crucial addition, but she can't win games single-handedly:
He looks forward to the visit of his old club with Midlands 103's David Hollywood:
Kick off at the Showgrounds is set for 7pm on Saturday.
