Developing Westmeath Panel Hoovering Up Experience - Damien Healy

The former inter county footballer is expecting Westmeath to benefit from some tough results this year.

Westmeath's senior footballers are backing priceless experience this year, according to one of the county's selectors.

Damien Healy has seen the Lake County footballers fall to Division Three of the league, before going out to Kildare in the Leinster Championship in 2025.

Despite the poor run of results, Westmeath have often delivered good performances against high level opposition.

Re-entry into the Tailteann Cup has led to a return to winning ways, and they head into this weekend's meeting with Limerick knowing a win will see them top their group and avoid a preliminary quarter final.

Healy says the changing face of the panel has been positive:

O'Moore Park plays host to Westmeath's meeting with Limerick, throw in is set for 2pm on Saturday.
