Midlands 103 commentator Brian Gavin says Offaly should be aiming to progress in the Tailteann Cup this weekend.
The Faithful side travel to Cusack Park in Ennis to take on Clare tomorrow for the opening round, as they aim to get their first competitive win of the season.
Their opponents were beaten by Kerry in the Munster Championship, while Offaly suffered defeat at home to Laois in Leinster.
Victory for either side will put them through to the winner's section.
