Fitzgibbon Cup Quarter Finals Take Place This Evening

A place in the final four is up for grabs.

It's quarter-finals day in two of this season's third-level competitions.

First up in hurling's Fitzgibbon Cup, Mary Immaculate take on UCD in Limerick, where throw-in is at 2:00pm.

Laois' Fionan Mahony, James Duggan and Padraig Rafter are part of the UCD panel, alongside Westmeath's David Williams and Cian McCarthy. 

Defending champions UL, featuring Offaly's Adam Screeney go up against UCC from 6:30pm.

Two last-eight clashes are down for decision at 7:30pm - University of Galway face SETU Waterford.

Offaly's Liam Hoare, Dan Bourke and Ter Guinan are expected to feature for Galway, while Cathal King will be lining out for the Waterford side. 

While last year's runners-up DCU, who have Offaly's Donal Shirley and Sam Bourke alongside Westmeath's Peter Clarke go to MTU Cork.
