Flanagan Rails Against Basketball Style Game

The Caulry manager oversaw an impressive win against Tang last weekend.

Caulry's manager Pat Flanagan wants to change how football is being played in the modern day.

The former Offaly and Westmeath senior football boss says the game is "more like basketball", and he's intent on increasing the pace of games his club's involved in.

Caulry picked up just their first win of their Westmeath championship campaign last weekend with a 1-14 to 1-6 victory over Tang.

Elsewhere the county champions came through a repeat of last year's championship final, with a 1-7 to 0-8 victory over Coralstown Kinnegad.
