Goals Galore In Paddy Cotter Cup

Ballinahown and Willow Park won their games by the odd goal in nine over the weekend.

It was a goal-fest in the second round of the Paddy Cotter Cup over the weekend.

6 fixtures saw 36 goals in total.

There were two, nine-goal thrillers with Ballinahown beating Rosenallis 5-4, and Willow Park winning away to Emo Celtic by the same score.

Tommy Hurley and Neil Kenny both scored a brace for Willow Park, while James Flanagan scored the other.

Clonaslee United were 2-1 winners over Birr Town, after scoring a penalty late in the second half.

St Peter's were 3-1 winners at home to Coolraine, thanks to a goal from Luke Kelly and two from Jordie Carr.

Connor Fletcher got the sole Coolraine strike.

Mullingar Town were convincing 4-1 winners against Mountmellick United.

Paul Reid, Bubba Charles (p), Sam Watkin, and Greg Kozicki scored for the Westmeath club.

And Stradbally Town beat Inny FC on a final scoreline of 4-2.

Jack Langton, Fionn McEvoy, Conor Goode, and Liam Clancy (p) with the strikes to put the Laois team through to the third round.
