Both Hurling and Football will be played at O'Moore Park.
Tommy Fitzgerald will finally get his Laois hurling tenure underway this weekend as his side take on Offaly in a midlands derby.
The O'Moore County were scheduled to take on Westmeath last Saturday, but Cusack Park was deemed unplayable due to a frozen pitch.
Offaly did get their campaign underway last weekend however but they had to settle for a draw against Carlow at O'Connor Park.
And it's because of that performance that midlands 103 commentator Joe Troy believes makes Laois slight favourites.
The Hurling match between Laois and Offaly is the first of the double header matches at O'Moore Park on Sunday with throw in at two o'clock.
