Offaly will find themselves in the re-formatted Division 1B next year.
Johnny Kelly is stating his satisfaction after seeing his side deliver a 70 minute performance in their last outing in league action this season.
Offaly returned to Division One this year after an ill-fated 2022 campaign that saw the Faithful County sustain five heavy losses.
While four losses and a draw represent a slight improvement in results, performances in all games bar a heavy defeat to Cork were much improved.
Kelly's side led table toppers Clare until the final stages in St Brendan's Park last weekend only to be reeled in at the death.
Despite suffering another loss on Saturday, the Offaly manager says he's happy with how his side performed:
Offaly return to action in the Joe McDonagh Cup on the third weekend of April, the first round sees them taking on Laois.
