McIlroy Surges To Second In Shanghai

Ireland's Rory McIlroy is in the hunt for another title after the second round of the World Golf Championship HSBC Champions event in Shanghai.

The County Down star eagled the 18th hole en route to a 5 under par second round of 67.

It places him on 10 under par, a shot behind the leader, England's Matt Fitzpatrick.

Clara's Open Champion Shane Lowry is well down the field on level par after a second consecutive 72.

McIlroy believes the course will become more difficult over the weekend:
