Offaly Concede Big Lead To Fall To Third Consecutive Loss

Westmeath go unbeaten while Offaly sit joint bottom of the Division 3 League.

Declan Kelly is reflecting on a disastrous final 15 minutes that saw his Offaly footballers surrender a 9 point lead to lose their third straight game.

Clare emerged victorious after overturning the Faithful's commanding lead, and then surviving a Peter Cunningham penalty in the last kick of the game.

That result leaves Offaly pointless in Division Three of the National Football League after three rounds.

Cathal Sweeney's goal was the key score as Galway picked up their first win in Division One of the Allianz Football League yesterday.

Padraic Joyce's side were 1-10 to 0-12 winners over Tyrone at Healy Park.

In Division Two, Armagh maintained their 100-percent start with a 2-16 to 0-8 defeat of Kildare.

And Meath beat Louth by 1-11 to 1-9 in Navan.
