Ballycommon had no answer for a slick Rhode outfit.
Rhode cruised to their second consecutive win in the Offaly Senior Football Championship last night.
The 31 times champions were 2-11 to 0-7 winners over Ballycommon who fell to their second loss of the competition.
Rhode made a blistering start with Niall McNamee smashing home an emphatic finish in the sixth minute to give Rhode early breathing space.
By the time Niall Darby finished off a sweeping counter attack early in the second half, the 2022 champions were comfortably clear.
Rhode return to action at the end of August for what many will consider a dress rehearsal for the county final against Tullamore.
Ballycommon will hope to secure a first victory of the championship that weekend against Bracknagh.
