Rhode man honoured
Rhode man Pat Smullen has been awarded the prestigious Cartier Award of Merit at a glittering ceremony attended by a who's who of British and Irish Racing.
The nine times Irish Champion jockey, now battling pancreatic cancer, received a long standing ovation, with his long time boss Dermot Weld amongst those in the audience as he was presented with the award.
