Roscommon Boss Tips Offaly To Avoid Drop To Division Three

Offaly will have one extra fan this weekend in the form of Roscommon boss Anthony Cunningham. 

The Rossies supremo is backing the faithful to come out on top in their relegation battle with Cork. 

"They still have to win that game. It's a four pointer I think you call them and you'd give Offaly a great chance. 

Having a lot of connections to Offaly myself and living in the midlands I'd like to see them stay up.

No disrespect to anyone else but hopefully they'll do it." 

John Maughan's side will need to up their performance levels from last weekend's disappointing defeat against Roscommon, if they are to secure another year in division two and a place in the All-Ireland series.

Playing against 14-men for a sustained period they were unable to breakdown a stubborn Roscommon rear-guard.

A couple of changes are expected to the starting XV for the clash with the rebels this Sunday afternoon.
