A busy weekend in the midlands saw the defending Laois champions knocked out.

It was a busy weekend in the Midlands senior football Championships.

The defending champions in Laois have been knocked out.

St Joseph's were comprehensively beaten by Portlaoise on Saturday evening.

Yesterday, Graiguecullen beat Killeshin and O'Dempsey's were too strong for Arles Killeen.

The first quarter finals of the weekend saw Portarlington winning against Ballyroan Abbey.

In the semi finals, Portarlington play Graiguecullen and Portlaoise face O'Dempsey's.

The line up for the semi finals in Offaly is now known as well.

Shamrocks emerged from penalty shout drama against Ballycommon to book their place in the last four.

They'll be playing Ferbane who beat Rhode yesterday evening.

While the Defending champions Tullamore will face Edenderry after their respective wins over Durrow and Bracknagh on Saturday.

And in Westmeath, yesterday Tyrrellspass advanced to the semi finals at the expense of Mullingar Shamrocks while The Downs beat Athlone after extra time on Saturday.
