Armagh defeated at O'Moore Park
Laois footballers produced another excellent performance when they deservedly beat the pre-match favourites Armagh by 0-16 to 0-10 at MW Hire O'Moore Park on Saturday night.
Mark Barry and Evan O'Carroll scored 12 points between them as Mike Quirke's side remain unbeaten in Division 2.
No luck for Westmeath who were defeated by Cavan at Kingspan Breffni Park.
It was looking good for Jack Cooney's men for whom Luke Loughlin scored the goal, but a late surge from Cavan which co-incided with a red card for Lake County talisman John Heslin saw them win by four points 1-17 to 1-13.
In other matches Dublin were the comfortable 1-11 to 0-8 winners against Mayo in Castlebar while a late Paul Geaney point gave Kerry a dramatic one point win against Galway in Tralee.
In the hurling league Cork were the one point winners against Tipperary in Division 1 at Pairc Ui Caoimh
