Thunderstorms Delay Masters Start

The action in Augusta won't get underway until 2pm at the earliest.

The start of the 2024 Masters is set to be delayed for another few hours.

Play won't begin before 3:30pm Irish time due to thunderstorms in Augusta.

Tiger Woods is making his return to competitive golf at the event.

He says he's hoping he'll be playing competitive golf more regularly in the coming months after a tough run with injury:

McIlroy is due to tee off shortly after 6pm Irish time, while Shane Lowry is down for a 7.55pm start. But those tee times are likely to be pushed back due to the weather delay.

Lowry is chasing a second career major and his first title in over a year.
