Westmeath Secure Division Three Title

Two goals from Jonathan Lynam were crucial for the Lake County in their clash with Down.

Westmeath have secured the National Football League Division Three title.

Two goals from Jonathan Lynam helped Dessie Dolan's side secure a 2-10 to 0-13 win over Down in Croke Park.

They'll be back in action next weekend in the opening round of the Leinster Senior Football Championship against Wicklow.

Dolan says despite the satisfying win, his side are already focused on this weekend:

Laois secured two titles over the weekend, after getting the best of Leitrim on a scoreline of 3-14 to 0-9 in the National Football League Division Four Final.

And on Sunday, the O'Moore County landed the National Hurling League Division Two A Final victory after getting the best of Carlow, 2-22 to 1-12.
