That was the call from a former midlands hospital group chief.

The former clinical director of the Dublin Midlands Hospital group is calling for a public debate on state imposed coronavirus restrictions.

Dr. Martin Feeley also says the mood of the country is depressed at the moment.

He resigned earlier this month after suggesting that Ireland should be pursuing a herd immunity strategy in a newspaper interview.

Speaking on PrimeTime last night, Dr.Feeley clashed with professor Sam McConkey about the need for more strict measures in the coming months.
