Just 24 listings meet the HAP Scheme rent limits on daft.ie.
Rising rents are affecting tenants in the Midlands on the Housing Assistance Payment Scheme.
The Simon Community's latest Locked Out of the Market report shows just 24 properties were available to rent in any of the HAP Scheme limits on daft.ie.
That's a drop of 25% since last June.
Athlone and Portlaoise have been examined in the report with ten properties overall becoming available to rent.
None of these new listings fall under either the standard or discretionary HAP rates.
